Madrid, April 5, 2017.- The deadline for submitting your abstract for the FDI World Dental Congress to be held in Madrid from August 29 to September 1 was April 3. A total of 1,020 Abstracts (486 posters and 534 oral presentations) were received, exceeding by far the number of abstracts sent to all previous FDI World Dental Congresses, which demonstrate the high expectation generated by this event.
Abstracts were submitted by professionals from 46 countries and have been classified in different categories according to their topic: 151 about General Dentistry, 170 about Preventive Dentistry, 462 about Dental Treatment and 237 about Oral Surgery, Medicine and Cancer. All abstracts will be published in a special issue of the International Dental Journal.
Dr. Oscar Castro, President of the Spanish Dental Association and the FDI World Dental Congress 2017 Organizing Committee, states that “the number of Abstracts received reflects the magnitude of the forthcoming FDI Congress, which will be the largest dental event of the year. In addition, with the participation of renowned professionals from all over the world, this event will become an international showcase where you can exchange opinions with
more than 10,000 professionals, thus enriching the research and adding professional experience from leading experts”.
During 4 full days, attendees will be able to participate in lectures given by speakers of huge international prestige that will address the latest advances related to Dentistry and Oral Health. In addition, they will have the opportunity to attend hands-on-courses and trade shows, according to their preferences.
